Ghormley staff have received assurances from Yakima County officials that we are not currently at risk due to any local wildfires. The largest active fire nearby is the Miriam fire, near Clear Lake/White Pass, located 10-15 miles from Ghormley. We are not under any evacuation order, nor have we received notice of a potential evacuation from local authorities. We do not anticipate any disruptions to our operations at this time. We will continue to monitor and update conditions, and will update this information should a significant change in local conditions occur. Ghormley has fire evacuation plans in place, and will be prepared to react should conditions change and warrant emergency action. While Tieton Reservoir Road (NF-1200) is listed as “closed” in some places, the closure is in place beyond the road to Ghormley Meadow; we are still accessible.
If you do not follow Ghormley on Facebook, please do so as we will post occasional updates there!
