Campers will be required to pass a swim test to participate in various activities during their sessions. For Primary and Junior campers, passing the swim test will allow them to swim in the deep end of the pool and use the pool slides during free time. For Middle School and Teen Camp campers, passing the swim test will allow them to swim in the deep end of the pool, use the pool slides, and participate in water activities during Lake Day at Rimrock Lake.
After you have completed the check-in process on the first day of camp, your camper will have the opportunity to take the swim test at our pool. Your camper will also have the opportunity to take the swim test during free time.
For Primary and Junior campers, the swim test involves swimming across the width of the pool one time.
For Middle School and Teen Camp campers, the swim test involves swimming two laps of the pool and treading water for one minute.
If your camper does not take the swim test or does not pass it, there are plenty of other activities to do! Your camper will not be excluded from any all-camp activities.
